Ky (as in kyak) is a male
Harris Hawk - his flying weight is 1lb 6½oz. He
was born in Dereham in 2001 and bought by Tim as his personal
hunting bird
Unfortunately,
Ky took an instant dislike to Tim (well, it saved time!) and
so Tina took over his training. She had him flying within
2 weeks!
Tina then decided
that Ky should settle down to a career in showbusiness and
trained him for demonstration work.
Ky has
never hunted and Tina is determined that he never will. As
a result, Ky is completely at home on our stand or performing
in the ring. He's now quite happy to work with any of us -
even Tim! |
