Name: Barn Owl (tyto alba )
Length: 33-35cm (13-14in)
Wingspan: 85-93cm (33-37in)
Weight: 240g-380g (8.5oz-13 oz)
Diet: small mammals,occasionally frogs and toads and rarely,small birds
Range:

Great Britain and parts of Europe.

NB. Distribution is shown for all races of Barn Owl

UKHabitat:

The greatest concentrations are found in low lying arable areas near the coast where prey is abundant.The Norfolk coast is ideal.

The Barn Owl nest in hollow trees,buildings and crevices in rocks, laying a clutch of between2-8 eggs.Incubation takes one month but for thier size, Barn Owls have an unusually long period of 56 days before fledging.

Duo was brought as an Dark-breasted barn owl but as you can see even we get caught out.Hopefully he should be flying with Solo this year.
