Chris's
involvement with Birds of Prey began in 1992 whe she became a volunteer/general
dogsbody at a local Birds of Prey centre, going on to join and work
for the Raptor Trust. She never intended to have a bird of her own.
However, in
1995 she was offered the opportunity to train and fly a male Kestrel
to be used in the Trust's demonstrations. She went on to fly him
for several years, making appearances at the Norfolk & Suffolk
Shows, Norfolk Police Gala and various events throughout Norfolk
& Suffolk.
Together with Clive, she has also taken birds to
schools and adult groups for talks and demonstrations.
Although flying Kestrels remains her first love,
Chris has also flown Harris Hawks & Little Owls and is at present
training young Tyler ready for the 2005 show season and practising
flying Herbert (when Clive lets her!).
